Hail and Well Met, Traveler!
We are a non-auditioned community chamber choir for singers of all backgrounds and skill levels. You don’t have to be a gamer to join us, either - though an appreciation of video game music will help since that’s what we sing!
We prioritize maintaining a respectful and supportive space, and are a LGBTQIA2+ welcoming ensemble.
We ask for optional dues contributions to help us cover the cost of our rehearsal space, supplies, and performance expenses. The suggested amount is $75 per season (two seasons per year = $150 annually), but we do not want cost to be a barrier to anyone and invite you to pay what you can.
We perform 2-3 shows each season, usually at regional conventions and our own concert, but we've had fun opportunities at community events too! Plus, performance is not required for members if you only want to participate in rehearsals for fun and friendship.
IMPORTANT: Members must be over the age of 18 to join the choir. (Sorry if that means you have to wait....)

Rehearsal
Rehearsals are Friday evenings in the Phinney neighborhood of Seattle. There are opportunities for members to stretch their musical skills by helping run rehearsals, teach pieces, conduct in practice or performance, and more! You can talk with your section leader or a board member to find out more info when you join the ensemble.
We care about our members and observe careful health protocols. You can read all the details on our Health & Safety page, but here's the TL;DR:
Proof of the 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccination is required.
KN-95 or N-95 masks are required at rehearsals, performances, and all official LU!VE events.

Sections
Sections
We do not assign singers to sections, but instead allow members to choose their own class. Can you rock tenor and alto? Soprano on one song and bass on another?! Level Up! is a place to explore what feels right for you - even if that means switching parts between songs. And if you don't know what "part" you are, we will help you figure that out, too! No previous choir experience is required, just a love of singing (and hopefully video game music).

Level Up! has an active group of members who arrange video game songs and scores for the choir to perform. If you’re less interested in stage time and more interested in being behind the creative scenes, you’re welcome to join us and be a Phantom of the Ensemble.
