Level Up! Vocal Ensemble is a social and learning community as much as it is a performing group, so even though the choir isn’t gathering in person due to COVID-19 we’re always accepting new members!
Below is general information about our ensemble and a contact form to reach out to us.
We are a non-auditioned community choir that accepts singers of all backgrounds and skill levels. You don’t have to be a gamer to join us, either - though an appreciation of video game music will help since that’s what we sing!
IMPORTANT: Members must be over the age of 18 to join the choir. (Sorry if that means you have to wait....)
We do not assign voice parts, but instead allow members to choose their own class. Can you rock tenor and alto? Alto and soprano? Soprano on one song and bass on another? Level Up! is a place to explore what feels right for you - even if that means switching parts between songs. And if you don't know what "part" you are, we will help you figure that out, too!
In the pre-COVID times, we rehearsed weekly on Fridays from 7-9pm at Seattle Center. Right now rehearsal is on hold while we figure out the technical challenges of remote rehearsal, but in the meantime are doing weekly Discord hangouts on Friday nights.
Level Up! also has an active group of folks who arrange video game songs and scores for the choir to perform. If you’re less interested in stage time and more interested in being behind the creative scenes, you’re welcome to join us and be a Phantom of the Ensemble.
(If you are a VGM composer interested in working with Level Up! please use our Contact form to reach out to us.)
Level Up! has a members-only Discord server where we learn, build community, and share our passions (and favorite VGM tracks). The Discord server is also shared by our partner orchestral ensemble, Seattle Video Game Orchestra & Chamber.
